At Hello Plumbing we are conscious about what we can do to support our local community and take care of our environment.
As part of our commitment our marketing material is ONLY printed on recycled paper materials. The magnets that you receive in your letterbox are also made up of 88% recycled rubber products, such as old car tires and the like!
Going one step further we regularly support Carbon Neutral, an organisation dedicated to working with individuals and organisations to reduce their impact on the planet. With Carbon Neutral we have planted trees to offset our carbon impact and donated funds to support the incredible work that they do.
We also only ever use the latest equipment to fix your plumbing problems. Old equipment can be not as energy efficient and therefore not very green.
On 5 June 2021 UN’s annual World Environment Day will launch their #GenerationRestoration campaign.
It’s time for us ALL to do our bit.
“This is our moment.
We cannot turn back time. But we can grow trees, green our cities, rewild our gardens, change our diets and clean up rivers and coasts. We are the generation that can make peace with nature.
Let’s get active, not anxious. Let’s be bold, not timid.”

What Can You Do?
50% of our coral reefs have already been lost and up to 90% could be lost by 2050, even if global warming is limited to an increase of 1.5°C. What are you doing in your everyday life that can help reduce your impact on the environment?
For example, fixing that leaky tap, on a hot water connection especially, can save you money on bills and reduce the energy that your home is using to heat your water!
Here are some more top tips and easy wins to help protect our planet:
- Reduce, reuse, and recycle.
By cutting down on what you throw away we can conserve natural resources and landfill space. - Volunteer.
Volunteering for clean-ups in your community, such as at the beach, can stop harmful materials getting into our oceans and killing the fish that we love! Like, turtles and dolphins. - Educate.
When you further your own education, you can help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources. - Choose sustainable.
Learn how to make smart seafood choices at https://goodfish.org.au/ - Shop wisely.
Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag. - Use long-lasting light bulbs.
Energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also flip the light switch off when you leave the room! - Plant a tree.
Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change. - Don’t send chemicals into our waterways.
Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office. - Rethink Your Transport.
Is there a way that you can drive less? Are you able to carpool, get public transport to more places, walk or cycle? By reducing the use of your car you can minimise your greenhouse emissions at the same time!
