When you’re facing a major plumbing issue and having to find a local Northern Beaches plumber that you can trust and rely on to get the job done properly. Below is a list of questions that you should always ask a plumbing team before you entrust them to work on your plumbing system. You should never feel like you can’t ask these questions and any questions you may have, to your plumbers before booking in and agreeing to the service.
Are you fully insured?
This is one of the most important things you NEED to know about your plumber before you make any decisions. If your plumber’s not insured then if there were to be any issues, accidents, injuries, or damage caused at your property, then that won’t be covered for you or the plumber who is doing the job.
At Hello Plumbing, we have all of the necessary and up-to-date insurances and you can take a look through them all beforehand to make sure you’re happy! We want you to feel secure in your decision to choose us and be able to trust that you and your property are fully covered if there were to be anything that goes wrong.
Will your quote change suddenly?
Of course, one of the key things you need to do is always get a quote before booking in, but also make sure you ask the plumber to ensure this quote won’t change and ask if they have any loopholes that may allow them to change the final quote after completing the job.
Here at Hello Plumbing, we are ALWAYS up front with our quotes and if, for whatever reason we realise the final price may change (whether it be from the cost of extra materials, an additional blockage, etc.) we will always let you know and ask your permission before going ahead.
How experienced are you?
Of course, more important than experience is training and just because someone is a newer or younger plumber, as long as they are fully trained this shouldn’t always be a red flag. If the plumbing job you need them to conduct is a big, expensive job, or even a more specialty job such as gas-related, this is an important question to ask.
Our plumbers are all incredibly highly and fully trained with all of the necessary skills, knowledge and licencing to complete the plumbing works you need us to. On major jobs that require expertise, our newer plumbers will always be accompanied by our more experienced plumbers.
Do you use high-quality materials & tools?
Of course, the most important part of your plumbing service is the training and experience of the plumber, but equally as important is the quality of the materials and tools. This can majorly affect the quality and longevity of the service and can be the deciding factor on how soon you can expect to have this service redone in the future.
We wouldn’t want you to feel like the plumbing service you received won’t last or like your money is being wasted on a low-quality service. This is why all of our tools, machinery and materials are always of the absolute highest quality.
Will you clean up after the job is done?
A lot of plumbing jobs can result in a lot of mess, whether it’s digging up your yard or moving all of your clutter from under your sink. All plumbers should clean up after themselves and make sure they leave your home and property looking as close to the same as it was when they arrived as possible. The only exception to this would be any jobs that do involve the digging of your yard where it may not be possible to leave your yard looking exactly the same, however, we will always leave it as close to perfect as possible!
Next time you’re selecting a Sydney plumber to complete some work for you, make sure you get all of these questions answered. Plus, remember to always get three quotes before making a decision!
